1. One or more computer-readable storage media on which instructions are stored that, when executed by the computing device, instruct the computing device to: enact the first set of content processing policies for the first part of the application, which is allowed to activate code elements of the computing device, and put in place the second a set of content processing policies for the second part of the application, which is not allowed to activate code elements; and determine whether to apply the first set of content processing policies or the second set of content processing policies to the content, based on which part of the application requests the content. 2. One or more computer-readable storage media according to claim 1, wherein the code elements comprise one or more of: a function, a subroutine, a method, a parameter, a property, and an interface. 3. One or more computer-readable storage media according to claim 1, wherein the first set of content processing policies specifies that if the content is untrusted, then this content cannot include executable code. One or more computer-readable media of claim 1, wherein the first set of content processing policies specifies that if the content includes untrusted content and the first part of the application requests the transfer of untrusted content to one of the code elements, then the untrusted content should be checked to determine whether untrusted content is safe before untrusted content can be transferred to this one of the code elements. 5.
