The present invention relates to a process for the prediction of the effectiveness of a medicament in the case of a patient, wherein a nucleic acid sequence of a target molecule is determined, which interacts with the drug, and on the basis of the determined nucleic acid sequence a conformation of the target molecule is derived. By comparing the conformation of the target molecule with the conformation of a reference - target molecule the effectiveness of the medicament is predicted.
