The invention relates to a method for determining the length polymorphism of the CR1 receptor, which comprises three domains, LHR A, LHR C and LHR D, and n LHR domain B, where n is an integer between 0 and 3. From genetic material, a single pair of specific primers amplifies a first segment of the LHR B domain (variant segment B) and a second segment belonging to at least one other domain (non-variant segment), said variant segment B and said non-variant segment having, outside the hybridization zones of said primers, at least three nucleotide differences. Using a quantitative tool, the number of variant B segment and non-variant segment amplicons is deduced, the variant / non-variant ratio being different depending on the length polymorphism of the CR1 receptor.
