PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique in which, using a commercial device available in distribution sites, an antioxidant potency of produce are measured by nondestructive measurement with visible/near-infrared spectroscopy, so as to sort anti-metabolic-syndrome produce.;SOLUTION: A method for sorting anti-metabolic-syndrome produce comprises the steps of: irradiating produce with near-infrared light to obtain an irradiated spectrum on near-infrared light; obtaining a second differential value by performing second differential processing based on the obtained irradiated spectrum; performing processing for examining a simple correlation between the second differential value and an antioxidant potency that is measured in advance by destructive analysis, and selecting a wavelength that is high in independence and has a high antioxidant potency and correlation; performing a multiple regression analysis with a second differential value of the selected wavelength set as an explanatory variable (x) and an analysis value set as a response variable (y), so as to obtain a calibration formula; and calculating an antioxidant potency value of an object to be tested, based on a second differential value of an irradiated spectrum on near-infrared light of produce being the object to be tested and the calibration formula.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT
