PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method for power control unit capable of flexibly accommodating different types of power generators as well.SOLUTION: In a control method for power control system including a power generator 33 generating power while a current sensor 40 is detecting a forward tidal current (current in power purchase direction) and power control unit, the power control unit 20 includes: a step for generating a pseudo current detected by a current sensor; a step for making the power control unit acquire power generation unit data showing a relationship between a pseudo current and power generation amount of the power generator; and a step for making the power control unit adjust a pseudo current on the basis of power generation unit data.
