PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-ionic surfactant which is excellent in foaming inhibitory effect and has high chlorine stability when coexisting with a chlorine agent.SOLUTION: The non-ionic surfactant is characterized by being represented by the general formula (1) in the figure.
