PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyethylene resin composition for a foamable laminate that can produce a foamed cell (a foam layer) having sufficient height and good appearance in the case when the extrusion lamination molding speed is increased to a high speed, to produce a foamable laminate, to provide a method for producing the foamable laminate, to provide a foamed processed paper and to provide a heat insulating container.SOLUTION: The polyethylene resin composition for a foamable laminate is used for forming a polyethylene resin layer (I) in order to foam on at least one surface of a base material composed mainly of paper, contains a polyethylene resin (A) and satisfies the characteristics (a-1) to (a-4) as given below: (a-1) the melt flow rate (MFR) of the polyethylene resin (A) as measured in accordance with JIS K7210 (at 190°C and 21.18 N load) is not less than 7 g/10 min to less than 20 g/10 min; (a-2) the density of the polyethylene resin (A) as measured at a test temperature of 23°C in accordance with JIS K7112 is 0.900 to 0.930 g/cm; (a-3) the oxidation induction time (OIT) at 180°C is not less than 10 minutes to less than 190 minutes; and (a-4) a memory effect (ME) of the polyethylene resin (A) as measured under the conditions of a cylinder temperature of 240°C and a constant speed extrusion output of 3 g/min by using a melt indexer used in JIS K7210 is less than 2.0.SELECTED DRAWING: None
