PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device in which means for supplying water to a potted plant is allowed to be saved in labor of directly supplying water thereto and cultivation can be performed without need for supplying water every day, and a method therefor by which a water retention amount of soil being used in cultivation can be checked from outside.SOLUTION: The flowerpot of remotely controlled water supply comprises a water supply tank 2 provided in a flowerpot body 1 with a bottom part having permeability, and a water supply connection port 3 provided in the lower part of the water supply tank 2 so that an outside water tank 5 is connected thereto via a water supply pipe 4, thereby enabling water supply depending on water level of the outside water tank 5. By increasing the capacity of a water supply tank 7 connected to the outside water tank 5, the number of water supply can be reduced. Water level of a flowerpot's water level hose 9 provided to the flowerpot displays a water retention amount of the soil, the water retention amount can be regulated by changing a placement height of the flowerpot, and the water retention amount of the soil can be checked from outside.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
