PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press molding mold for a plastic optical component which can inhibit the cost appreciation of an apparatus and can be heated and cooled at high speeds and a method for manufacturing a plastic optical component using the press molding mold.;SOLUTION: The provided press molding mold for a plastic optical component is a press molding mold comprising an upper mold for pressing a moldable material, a lower mold, a cylindrical mold, and a cylindrical mold cooling means for cooling the cylindrical mold wherein the cylindrical mold possesses a brim on at least a portion of the outer circumferential plane thereof and wherein the cylindrical mold cooling means is configured so as to touch the brim upon the operation of the cylindrical mold for cooling the cylindrical mold; a method for manufacturing a plastic optical component using the press molding mold is also provided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
