PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a vitrified bond grindstone in which abrasive grains and chip pockets can be dispersed uniformly by a grinding action face in any site of the grindstone, and which enables stable grinding from the start of use of the grindstone until the end of the use.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a vitrified bond grindstone includes: an abrasive grain mixing step for mixing DLC film-coated abrasive grains 3 whose surfaces are coated with DLC films 2, non DLC film-coated abrasive grains 1 being abrasive grains not coated with DLC films 2, and a vitrified binder 4 to prepare mixed abrasive grains; a molding step for molding the mixed abrasive grains into a desired shape to manufacture a molded product; and a calcinating step for calcinating the molded product to manufacture a grindstone. Accordingly, a vitrified bond grindstone 10 in which the non DLC film-coated abrasive grains 1 having large holding force and the DLC film-coated abrasive grains 3 having small holding force are dispersed uniformly, can be manufactured, and chip pockets having good dispersibility due to drop of the DLC film-coated abrasive grains 3 during grinding, can be formed.
