PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode life evaluation method by which an electrode life can be accurately evaluated.;SOLUTION: There is provided the electrode life evaluation method for use in electrolytic pickling equipment including: a positive electrode group composed of a plurality of positive electrodes which are provided at both sides of a steel plate and arranged in a threading direction; and a negative electrode group provided adjacently to the positive electrode group and composed of a plurality of negative electrodes which are provided at both sides of the steel plate and arranged in the threading direction. The electrode life evaluation method determines that the life of the positive electrode is over, when an electric resistance value of the positive electrode is acquired by detecting the voltage and the current of the positive electrode and the electric resistance value of the positive electrode exceeds a predetermined threshold value. A first threshold value of the positive electrode adjacent to the negative electrode is set lower than a second threshold value of the positive electrode not adjacent to the negative electrode.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
