PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a UV curable coating composition excellent in transparency, wear resistance and weather resistance and a coating film formation method.SOLUTION: A UV curable coating composition comprises (a) a urethane acrylate having 2-9 acryloyl groups, (b) a urethane acrylate having 1-3 acryloyl groups and being different from ingredient (a), (c) an acetophenone-based photopolymerization initiator, (d) a phosphine oxide-based photopolymerization initiator, (e) a UV absorber and (f) a photo-stabilizer.
