A system for facilitating reduction in honking and noise pollution caused by a vehicle, comprises a horn detection unit, and a display module in communication with the horn detection unit. The display module comprises a GPS module for tracking a real-time location of the vehicle, and a microcontroller, for determining a first set of silence zones, selecting one or more proximal silence zones from the first set of silence zones, and incrementing a horn count of a proximal silence zone, when the vehicle is found to be in corresponding proximal silence zone upon pressing of the horn. The display module further comprises a display screen for displaying a total horn count, horn count in each proximal silence zone, names and symbols of one or more proximal silence zones, location based alerts when the vehicle approaches the one or more proximal silence zones, and alerts indicating intensity and duration of horn in the one or more proximal silence zones.
