Biomass enriched in zinc, method for the preparation thereof and probiotic, cosmetic, dietary and nutraceutical products comprising the same

Method of preparing a biomass enriched in zinc, characterized in that said biomass is obtained by i) growing microorganisms selected from the group consisting of Streptococcus thermophilus ST 16 BM, deposited according to the Budapest Treaty in the DSMZ, Braunschweig, Germany, with the number of DSM registration 19526 on July 13, 2007, and Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis BB 1 BM, deposited according to the Budapest Treaty in the DSMZ, Braunschweig, Germany, with the registration number DSM 17850 on December 23, 2005, and combinations thereof, in a nutrient culture medium comprising a salt of zinc, so that these microorganisms accumulate zinc; and ii) separating the zinc-enriched microorganisms from the culture medium.
