The present invention refers to a process for preparing a particulateinorganic materialloaded with growth factors, wherein said particulate material being selectedfrom ceramicmaterials is treated with growth factors in aqueous buffered solution in theacidic range betweenpH 4 and 5 over a period of at least 30 minutes, then the particulate materialis separated fromthe aqueous buffered solution and washed at least once with the same volume ofthe bufferedsolution free of growth factor, whereby an increased amount of growth factorwhich cannot bewashed off from the particle, is adsorbed to the surface, by means ofadsorption as a form ofchemical bonding.
