The objective of the invention is to achieve an automatic detection of information including a contact with a network for a management port and a port available from an OS for each of a plurality of physical machines. A physical machine detection system of the invention comprises: detecting a switch port of a physical switch to which a physical machine connects anew; detecting the management port of the physical machine via the switch port; detecting the machine port of the physical machine via the management port; and activating the physical machine via the machine port and thereafter acquiring port information including information of connections among the management port, the machine port and the switch port.
