EXTENDED DURATION CYCLIC PREFIX WITH LOW OVERHEAD FOR LTE BROADCAST

Extended duration cyclic prefixes with lower overhead are described wherein an integer multiple sequence of carriers greater than 300 carrier definitions per 25 nominal resource blocks (RBs) Is selected to reduce the prefix overhead. The sets of durations are then provided in association with each such integer multiple sequence of carriers that causes the combined duration of the symbol duration and the extended duration cyclic prefix to result in an integer number of carriers for each RB .
