One purpose of the present invention is to provide a food composition for joint pain relief, and the other purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for preparing the food composition for joint pain relief. A food composition for joint pain relief according to the present invention comprises 100 parts by weight of an eucommia bark extract, and 50 to 200 parts by weight of an Sorbus commixta extract, 50 to 200 parts by weight of an achyranthes extract and 100 to 300 parts by weight of a soybean extract based on 100 parts by weight of the eucommia bark extract. A method for preparing a food composition for joint pain relief according to the present invention comprises: a step (a) of preparing an ethanol extract by removing the ethanol after dipping eucommia bark, Sorbus commixta, achyranthes and soybean in the ground state into ethanol; a step (b) of preparing ethanol and a hot water extract by applying hot water to the ethanol extract of the step (a); a step (c) of preparing a hot water extract by adding again hot water to residue separated after preparing the ethanol and the hot water extract of the step (b); and a step (d) of mixing the ethanol and the hot water extract of the step (b) with the hot water extract of the step (c) at a weight ratio of 1 : 0.1-10 to prepare a mixture. A food composition for joint pain relief according to the present invention exhibits a substantial joint pain relief effect by proceeding a hot water extraction process again after performing an ethanol extraction process on target plants.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
