The present invention relates to a method and a device for controlling a vehicle in accordance with recognition of transient operating conditions. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the vehicle control method in accordance with the transient recognition includes: an engine operating step (S100); a step (S200) of calculating a first determination reference value (A) in accordance with a first target boost pressure and a first actual boost pressure; a step (S300) of determining whether a value obtained by differentiating the first determination reference value (A) by time is equal to or greater than a preset first reference value (B); a step (S400) of recognizing a transient operating condition when the value obtained by differentiating the first determination reference value (A) by time is equal to or greater than the preset first reference value (B) to control the vehicle in accordance with an exhaust gas reduction map stored in advance; and a step (S500) of recognizing a steady operating condition when the value obtained by differentiating the first determination reference value (A) by time is less than the preset first reference value (B) to control the vehicle in accordance with a fuel efficiency enhancing map stored in advance. The present invention uses a change rate regarding deviations of the target boost pressure and the actual boost pressure as an input value for recognizing the transient operating condition, thereby enhancing accuracy regarding recognition of a transient state.
