Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for reading a database using a T-tree index for improving read performance. According to one embodiment of the present invention, a method for reading a database using a T-tree index includes searching a memory storage table (MemStore) requested data when a read operation is requested from a client terminal; searching an index for the request data by searching the T-tree index formed in a memory area when the requested data are absent from the memory storage table; and acquiring a location of the requested data using the searched index and reading the requested data through an HFile at the acquired location.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
