The database system is an important element of information systems for the storage and management of information. Sensitive data in database systems must be protected using encryption techniques, whose application must balance data security and the functional efficiency of query processing. Adaptive approach is proposed in this research to improve the performance of the query over the encrypting sensitive information in databases based on generating a unique hash value for each and every sensitive da ta and translating the SQL clauses into an appropriate form to execute over the hash values attribute. In this scheme, there are no statistical characteristics between the encrypted value and hashed value.
