The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for controlling a trunk emergency escape display which enable abductees to safely escape from a trunk when a crime occurs. The apparatus of the present invention comprises: an emergency escape button disposed on one side inside a trunk of a vehicle to unlock a latch switch of a trunk; a control unit which receives a signal for operation of the emergency escape button to determine whether a trunk is opened by a trunk opening unit outside a vehicle or the emergency escape button; and an emergency alarming lamp disposed on one side outside a vehicle to receive a control signal from the control unit and inform outsiders of the dangerous situation. The control unit transmits a rescue signal via a communications channel when a trunk is opened by the emergency escape button and does not display a cluster alarming lamp when abductees try to escape from a trunk.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
