The present invention relates to a novel Lactobacillus pentosus NEO 1 strain (Accession No .: KCTC18313P), a fermented ginseng extract using the strain, and a method for producing the same. The ginseng fermented extract fermented by inoculation of the ginseng of the present invention with Lactobacillus pentosus NEO 1 strain (accession number: KCTC18313P) can remarkably enhance the content of ginsenoside Rg2, Antioxidant, whitening and wrinkle-improving effects, and a process for producing the same.
