The present invention relates to an odorizing device (1), in particular for a vehicle, with– a housing (3) and at least one in the housing (3) of the mixing chamber (4) is arranged, in which an aromatic compound (5) is disposed and in which the aromatic compound (5) with air (6) is mixed,– an inlet opening (7), via which air into the mixing chamber (4) can pass,– an outlet opening (8), via which the with the aromatic compound (5) mixed air (6) from the mixing chamber (4) can pass.It is essential to the invention in this case,– that between the inlet opening (7) and the mixing chamber (4) a first closing means (9) and between the mixing chamber (4) and the outlet opening (8) a second closing means (10) are arranged,– that the two shutoff devices (9, 10) flows from bottom to top and a valve seat (11) as well as a valve body (12) lying on it, which is configured so that it tightly to the force of gravity, on the valve seat (11) rests and, in the case of an activated odorizing device (1) by the flowing air flow (6) is lifted off from the valve seat (11).
