PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smell discrimination method which enables the discrimination of a smell to lead out a smell evaluation value by a simple constitution or simple procedure, a smell discrimination program and an odor discrimination device.;SOLUTION: In place of a conventional odor discrimination method, (N) odor sensors for outputting the output values corresponding to the intensity of an odor are prepared. M-sets of sample data rows acquired on the basis of (N) sample output values by operation procedure are preliminarily stored, corresponding to (M) measuring samples respectively belonging the (M) odor groups so as to be respectively related to (M) odor groups; the measuring data rows are formed on the basis of the output values of (N) odor sensors, which are obtained by measuring the odor of a measuring target, by the operation procedure; and one set of the sample data rows having good correlation with respect to the measuring data rows is selected from (M) sets of the sample data rows to specify the smell group related to the sample data rows.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
