PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for a solid oxide type fuel battery that has a fuel gas supply path capable of efficiently supplying a sufficient amount of fuel gas to the interface between an electrolyte material and an electrode material, and consequently can enhance power generation performance of the solid oxide type fuel battery.SOLUTION: In an electrode for a solid oxide fuel battery, the electrode has a porous body, and a surface A on the opposite side to a surface on an electrolyte layer side when the electrode is installed in a solid oxide type fuel battery has plural openings whose opening area on the surface A is equal to 5.0×10mmor more. Further, when any rectangular region of 400 μm×600 μm on the surface A of the electrode is divided into four equal parts to form divisional rectangular regions of 200 μm×300 μm, the total area of the opening in each divisional rectangular region ranges from 0.001 to 0.03 mm, and the number of the openings in each divisional rectangular region is equal to 5 or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
