PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modification method of high molecule polysaccharide low in cost and easy to control a modification reaction, and modified high molecule polysaccharide.;SOLUTION: A modification method of high molecule polysaccharide has a process of dispersing high molecule polysaccharide containing a detachment target group which is one of an acyl group and an ester group in water and a liquid dissolved in water and containing a liquid organic compound and a modifier which is acid or base and detaching the detachment target group by hydrolysis to the high molecule polysaccharide and a process of detaching at least a part of the detachment target group from the high molecule polysaccharide with a status where the high molecule polysaccharide is dispersed in the liquid.;SELECTED DRAWING: None;COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT
