PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical shaft drag type wind turbine and a wind power generator having a plurality of main body devices that can be laminated in order to enable an overspeed rotation of the wind turbine caused by strong wind and the like to be prevented and further an effective and efficient wind power generation to be carried out even at a certain limited land.SOLUTION: This invention provides a vertical shaft drag type wind turbine comprising: a rotating shaft installed at a rotational center; connecting members expanded from this rotating shaft in a radial manner; a wind turbine module including a plurality of blade members connected to the rotating shaft by the connecting members, installed in a concentric circle with the rotating shaft and equally spaced apart; and a cylindrical cover member 51 enclosing a circumference of the wind turbine module and rotatable around the rotating shaft in independent from the shaft, the circumference of this cover member is provided with two opening parts 52 at their right opposing positions and its circumference and/or its upper surface is provided with a wind direction plate 53 projected like a plate-like manner.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
