The present invention relates to a method used for measurement of lipopolysaccharide (LPS), and methods of using for the diagnosis of sepsis and LPS related conditions. In particular, the present invention is time-resolved fluorescence (TRF) based assay for the determination of LPS, and sepsis, to methods used for Gram-negative bacterial infections, and measurement of LPS for diagnosing LPS related conditions.
