The device constantly monitors traffic in real time, so if the mass of vehicles on one lane with the red light on becomes larger than the mass of vehicles on the other lane, the device begins the state reversal process between the traffic lights to balance the percentage of vehicles on hold. The intelligent traffic light control device congestion detection method that is used to analyze traffic information captured from traffic cameras. This method belongs to the field of computational vision and pattern recognition in images, consisting of the application of a series of processing on frames obtained from video cameras aimed at traffic monitoring.
