The present invention relates to a composite comprising at least one benefit agent and a mixture comprising: (i) at least one water-soluble polymer being a polyvinyl alcohol polymer modified by reaction with an aldehyde 2- 10c such that from 1 to 15% of the available? Oh groups have been modified; and (ii) at least one ionic species; (iii) optionally at least one wax or wax-like substance; and (iv) optionally at least one amphiphilic polymer. Further aspects of the invention relate to a process for preparing said composites, consumer products comprising said composites and uses thereof.
