A NOVEL METHOD AND DEVICE WITH ANGLE-ROTOR FOR AN IDEAL CROWN RETENTION IN TOOTH

A dental drill (hand piece) or;dentists drill is a small, high-speed drill used during dental procedures, usually to remove decay and shape tooth structure prior to the insertion of a filling or crown. A dental.drill may also be used in the cleaning and shaping of root canals during endodontic treatment, or to remove old or temporary fillings or crowns prior to the insertion of new or permanent restorations. We introduce a new concept inthis device. We measure the angle formed by the dental drill (hand piece) with reference to the long axis of the tooth .An angle sensor is used .which senses the angle formed and is thus shown as a digital reading. The angle sensor is placed within the dental hand piece This type of hand piece shall be used mainly in tooth preparation (FPD). Where the amount of convergence needed is critical and more technique sensitive , in order to get a good retentive crown.
