A method for production of safety/rupture devices having pre-calculated breaking threshold comprises the steps of providing a plate (2) having at least one metallic surface (2a); making at least one cut (5) in said surface (2a) of said plate (2) to define a frangible line of pre-established rupture. The step of making at least one cut (5) is obtained by application of a laser beam (8) directly onto said metallic surface (2a).
