The invention relates to an auxiliary device for threading and closing a zipper on a garment. In the auxiliary device, a first (2) and a second clamping element (3), each with a receptacle (4) for a clothing section, are connected to one another via a belt (5). The strip (5) is less than 20 cm, preferably about 10 cm long. Furthermore, the invention relates to the use of the above-mentioned auxiliary device (1) for threading and closing a zipper.
