A wear/corrosion indicator for monitoring erosion, abrasion and corrosion oncoated orlined components. These components can include piping, tanks, cyclones,vessels, pumphousings, rail cars, etc. The wear/corrosion indicator provides advancedwarning to theamount of erosion, abrasion or corrosion that has taken place. The indicatorcan also beused to anchor corrosion or abrasion resistant liners and coatings to varioussub-straights.
