The invention relates to a device for stimulating and restoring the physiological trembling stimulus in flight animals, in particular horses, using at least one mechanical stimulus source (10) which is brought into contact with the skin parts (14) to be stimulated of the flight animal. According to the invention, the stimulus source (10) is designed in such a way that the contact of an insect, in particular a fly, with the horse's coat is mechanically copied essentially by means of vibrations generated by a vibration motor and transmitted onto the skin of the flight animal.
