The invention relates to a hydraulic reservoir (1) for a hydraulic medium line system, comprising an inlet (2) to a pressure chamber (3) and a movable volume compensation element (4) which is spaced apart therefrom, as well as a pressure relief valve (5) connected to the pressure chamber (3). The pressure relief valve (5) is arranged in such a way that a pressure fluctuation initiated at the inlet (2) into the pressure chamber (3) acts on the pressure relief valve (5) once the volume compensation element (4) has been reached. The invention further relates to a hydraulic fluid line system having a hydraulic reservoir according to the invention.
