Provided are a method and news display system for displaying news on the basis of a user-related geographical location, said method comprising: recording user-preset relevant geographical information, comprising: hometown information, permanent geographical location information, and current geographical location information of a user, or geographical information in which another user is interested (S101); dividing news into different modules according to geographical location (S102); according to the aforementioned user-related geographical information, pushing a corresponding module to the user (S103). News is separated into different modules according to geographical location, and by means of the user making his/her own selection, corresponding news information is automatically pushed to the user; thus given the relevance and highly personalized and targeted nature of the information, the user is provided with a better online experience.
