The invention relates to a block for the construction of walls in a simple and quick manner, of the type comprising cavities and projections on opposing faces for the male-female coupling thereof, characterised by comprising a single hollow body made of plastic material, that is preferably rigid, which defines a substantially rectangular prism shape, having a pair of upper cavities on the upper face defined by a base wall and four peripheral vertical walls, and having two hollow lower projections on the lower face adapted and configured to be inserted into the upper cavities of two adjoining lower blocks; both the base wall of said upper cavities and the lower projections of each block comprise respective perforations distributed in specific zones of the surface thereof in a random manner or in a predetermined pattern; which perforations are in communication with the internal cavity of the block in order to permit the passage of filling material which provides solidity, and which is poured in the form of semi-liquid concrete material and can penetrate via openings as a material for filling and joining between blocks, in order to fill the inside and generate a single solid part similar to a concrete wall.
