Provided are a virtual-reality helmet full-screen display drive method and a virtual-reality helmet thereof, comprising a master control unit, an eyepiece unit mounted on a housing, a feedback unit electrically connected to the master control unit, a communications unit, a screen display employing an ordered scanning means whereby scanning is performed from top to bottom, and a screen-display graphics processor that renders a frame image from the master control unit into left and right sprite frames; said graphics processor controls the screen display, when displaying a left-eye image, to perform full-screen scanning and drive the display of a left sprite frame (S1), and when displaying a right-eye image, to perform full-screen scanning and drive the display of a right sprite frame (S2); in the time slice between displaying the left-eye and right-eye images, said screen display being a black screen (S3). When using the helmet, the actual resolution of the image seen by a single eye is a full-screen resolution built-in to the virtual-reality helmet, thus improving hardware specifications while also providing for high-resolution screen display.
