Disclosed are a virtual-reality helmet and method for switching display information of the virtual-reality helmet. A helmet body (100) has a camera (200) mounted thereon for capturing and acquiring image information of the real world. Upon receiving an interruption signal from a switch control unit (600), a micro-control unit (110) detects a working state of the camera (200); if it is detected that the camera (200) is in an off state, storing current application information of the helmet body (100), and switching on the camera (200) to acquire real-world information taken by the camera (200), and displaying the same on a display device (120); if it is detected that the camera (200) is in an on state, switching off the camera (200), recovering application information stored most recently by the helmet body (100) to acquire virtual-reality information of the application information, and displaying the same on the display device (120). A helmet wearer can switch between the display information of the virtual-reality helmet simply by using a control button (300), a touch panel (400) and an orientation sensor (500) to send an interruption signal to the micro-control unit (110), thus enabling the operation to be simple and practical and enhancing user experience.
