Disclosed are a virtual-reality helmet and method for realizing a dual-computing platform thereof. The virtual-reality helmet comprises a screen (110) for displaying an image; a sensor (120) for acquiring posture data; a circuit switching controller (130) provided in the virtual-reality helmet; a integrated computing platform (140); and a connector (150) provided on the virtual-reality helmet for connecting to an externally provided computing platform. The screen (110), the sensor (120), the integrated computing platform (140) and the connector (150) are respectively connected to the circuit switching controller (130). When the connector (150) is not connected to the externally provided computing platform, the circuit switching controller (130) controls the screen (110) and the sensor (120) to communicate with the integrated computing platform (140); when the connector (150) is connected to the externally provided computing platform, the circuit switching controller (130) controls the screen (110) and the sensor (120) to communicate with the externally provided computing platform. The virtual-reality helmet can be conveniently carried and used independently, and can also be connected to an externally provided computing platform such as a PC, thus reducing costs for the user and increasing the product competitiveness.
