The present invention relates to an apparatus for UV sterilization and purification connected with a water inlet pipe and a water outlet pipe at one side of the upper part or lateral surface and having UV sterilizing tube with an UV lamp therein. The present invention provides a water pipe type apparatus for UV sterilization and purification, comprising a drain pipe formed to protrude downwards to obtain a space at one side of the lower end of the UV sterilizing tube, in which floating dead bacteria and microorganisms are precipitated by gravity; and a drain valve for discharging the dead bacteria and microorganisms at the lower end of the drain pipe. The present invention secures a space in which dead floating bacteria and microorganisms by an UV sterilizer mounted in the UV sterilizing tube are precipitated and piled, that is, the drain pipe, a precipitation pipe, a slope pipe, and the like. Therefore, the dead bacteria and microorganisms floats in the UV sterilizing tube, thereby preventing interference of UV irradiation to enhance a sterilizing effect.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
