Curved backlight unit and curved display apparatus including the same

Disclosed are a curved backlight unit capable of reducing a light leakage phenomenon and a curved display apparatus including the same. The disclosed backlight unit includes a first light source which provides a first illumination light, a second light source which provides a second illumination light, and a light guide plate. The light guide plate includes a first region to emit the second illumination light with first intensity and a second region to emit the second illumination light with second intensity which is lower than the first intensity. Also, the light guide plate is configured to emit the first illumination light with third intensity in the first region and to emit the first illumination light with fourth intensity which is lower than the third intensity in the second region.
