The present invention relates to a two-byte character display method used by a virtual terminal two-byte character display device displaying two-byte characters even in an international standard scheme supporting only one-byte characters. The two-byte character display method includes: a two-byte character conversion step of converting and reconfiguring one input character as a combination of a container object and a linear object upon receiving a two-byte character input by a virtual terminal writing tool; and a step of displaying a virtual terminal definition document including the character converted by the virtual terminal. The present invention can display two-byte characters including Korean characters on a virtual terminal compatible with ISO 11783 only supporting one-type character standards (ISO Latin 1, 9).;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
