The present invention relates to a method for culturing a Phellinus linteus mycelium having high content of beta-glucan using a cereal medium and extracting a Phellinus linteus mycelium extract by a hot-water extraction method, and to an extract manufactured by the method. The Phellinus linteus mycelium cultured in the cereal medium has high content of beta-glucan to have a high immune activity effect and has a short culture time of the Phellinus linteus mycelium to enable mass-production to be performed.
