The present invention relates to a method for sterilizing a seed and promoting germination of a seed using non-thermal plasma, and according to the present invention, by subjecting the surface of the seed, such as sprout seeds, to direct non-thermal plasma treatment, a germicidal effect of the micro-organisms present on the surface of the sprouts is increased and a germination rate and germination speed of the sprouted seeds are promoted to reduce the time required for seed germination, thereby shortening the time required for the production of agricultural and sprout vegetables and providing safer food.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
