Proteins or protein fractions originated from Hermetia illucens larvae disclosed in the present invention were never previously reported for having growth inhibiting action, antibacterial activity, or antibacterial effect against Neisseria gonorrhoeae. In this context, the present invention has confirmed that proteins or protein fractions originated from Hermetia illucens larvae show antibacterial activity or antibacterial effect against Neisseria gonorrhoeae by inhibiting the development and proliferation of Neisseria gonorrhoeae and inducing growth inhibitory action, and that due to the above characteristics, the proteins or protein fractions originated from Hermetia illucens larvae may be used as compositions for treating, alleviating, or preventing diseases caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae. The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for treating, alleviating, or preventing diseases caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae; a functional food composition for preventing or alleviating the diseases; a veterinary drug composition for treating, alleviating, or preventing the diseases; a feed additive composition for preventing or alleviating the diseases; and a quasi-drug composition for preventing or alleviating the diseases, all of which comprise proteins or protein fractions originated from Hermetia illucens larvae as effective components.
