The present invention relates to a panoramic photographing apparatus. According to a first aspect of the present invention, the panoramic photographing apparatus includes: a light collection unit including multiple lenses transmitting or refracting the light reflected from a subject therethrough; a single photographing unit which converts the light passing through the individual lenses to electrical signals; a switching unit which selectively transmits the light passing through the individual lenses to the photographing unit so that only the light passing through one of the lenses is transmitted to the photographing unit at a time; and an image processing unit processing the electrical signals obtained by the photographing unit to generate a panoramic image. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the panoramic photographing apparatus can photograph an omni-directional image by using a single image sensor.
