The present invention relates to a thermal battery using a fluorinated carbon electrode and a manufacturing method thereof and, more specifically, to a thermal battery which can be easily manufactured as a series of melting, grinding, particle size classification, and press molding processes for a mixture including fluorinated carbon (CF_x) in eutectic salt, which is the binder of an anode as an anode active material. The thermal battery has remarkably improved energy density and power density by having much higher operation voltage and discharge capacity by manufacturing an anode for thermal battery capable of reducing 40% or more of the weight and volume of the thermal battery compared to the use of FeS_2 (pyrite) which is the anode of an existing thermal battery.
